Meeting Room Design, Hotel 11, Nitra, 2025

As part of a wider interior collaboration, we designed and executed the complete concept for an exclusive meeting room at Hotel 11 in Nitra. The space was created for strategic corporate meetings, video conferences, and important business negotiations—with a focus on comfort, functionality, and visual impact.

The room, with a capacity of 10 guests, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for virtual presentations and video calls. An interactive board, high-quality audio system, and carefully composed lighting atmosphere ensure a setting that is both efficient and aesthetically engaging.

Our design included a private lounge area and in-room bathroom facilities, offering a refined and uninterrupted environment for professional communication.

The goal was to shape a space where focus, trust, and clear dialogue are enhanced by intelligent design—a modern meeting room where every detail supports productivity and presence.

Christmas Land Art Installation "The Christmas Hut", ROH Bakery, Nitra, Dec 2024

A poetic Christmas installation created by Róbert Bartolen for ROH Bakery in Nitra, designed from natural materials such as straw, wheat, bread, and mineral pigments. The Christmas Hut symbolized warmth, home, and the cultural meaning of bread during the festive season.

The project also carried a charitable dimension—proceeds from the symbolic sale of the installation were donated to support local social causes.

Private Interior, Bratislava, 2024

In this interior project for a private residence, we created a series of floral installations that connect the space with nature in a thoughtful and refined way.

Beneath the staircase, an authentic "forest fragment" was brought to life – a spatial composition made of natural materials that evoke the rawness and vitality of woodland environments. In the entrance hallway, we designed and built a full-scale wall installation resembling a moss-covered rock face from a tropical rainforest. Layered textures and structures give the impression that nature is growing directly into the space.

Particular attention was given to a set of floral objects installed on the wardrobe mirror. These pieces were crafted from seashells, whose natural shapes and textures allowed for elegant, organically inspired compositions.

This project demonstrates how floral techniques can enrich private interiors with both artistic and conceptual value.

Interior and Floral Design for Diamond Barbers, Prešov, 2021

This installation was conceived as a fusion of raw industrial aesthetics and natural floral elements within the interior of the men's barber studio Diamond Barbers in Prešov. The entire space – from layout to floral objects – was designed by Róbert Bartolen. The concept plays with the contrast between hard materials and soft botanical structures, creating a striking environment where masculine energy meets natural detail and artisanal precision.

SOVA Bar Concept & Floral Installation, Hotel Pošta, Jasná, 2020/2021

For the SOVA Bar at Hotel Pošta in Jasná, Slovakia, Robert Bartolen created a bespoke floral and conceptual installation in collaboration with architect Janette Pokorná. Their synergistic partnership resulted in an interior where every material, colour, and daily light scene became part of a living artwork.

The project was envisioned as an unfolding story – like reading a book together, with each chapter revealing deeper harmony between nature and design. Bartolen's artistic contribution infused the bar with warmth, spirit, and elegance, ensuring guests experienced not just a space, but an authentic narrative of beauty and inspiration.

Tree & Floral Installation, Mirror Cocktail Bar, Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel Bratislava, Jan 2019

Placed in Bratislava, SK. Specifically at the Mirror Cocktail Bar in the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel.

Regarding the project of our experiential bar: We are a bar of experiences and a place of dreams. Creatively, we combine flavors, scents, and textures with respect for local resources and the environment, with a reverence for the highest form of human endeavor - art - in all its forms.

About the installation: The task was to create a tree in the center of the bar, under which guests would be seated. Another part of the installation is a large floral object above the bar.

Floral arrangements for the representative spaces of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Jan 2018

To create a comprehensive whole that would capture attention not only visually but also conceptually, I knew I wouldn't create bohemian and corpulent objects since it is an institution meant to reinforce our nation's image. As someone who has always enjoyed pondering, I recalled a childhood legend that spoke of how God gifted us Slovaks with our language and land. So I began to search. Eventually, after reading this legend, I immediately had an idea of how to approach this request. I named it "NATURAL RESOURCES." I created an outline that encompasses the individual riches bestowed upon our country: Gold, Salt, Coal, Mineral Springs, Aragonite, and perhaps most importantly to me, the meadows and pastures.

Complete Interior Design and Permanent Floral Installations, Bojnice, 2018

In 2018, an extensive project was carried out in Bojnice with the aim of creating a comprehensive design for a private apartment. The assignment included the layout planning, color schemes for each room, selection of materials, furniture, and textiles, and most notably, the creation of long-term floral objects integrated directly into the interior.

The project was realized with a strong emphasis on harmony between natural materials and the architecture of the space. Every detail—from wall tones to textile textures—was selected to enhance spatial fluidity and correspond with the overall floral vision.

The design also included specific floral compositions, which are not merely decorative elements but an integral part of the overall concept. It is one of the few projects where interior design and floral aesthetics are combined in such a cohesive and complete form.

Floristic Installation "IMPULSE", Nov 2015

IMPULSE is a floral collection that explores the primal instincts of nature—those deeply rooted impulses that shape the daily behaviour of all living beings. The project reflects on spontaneous reactions as part of a larger natural system of which we are intrinsically a part.

The installation consisted of five floral objects, each themed around a key impulse:

PROTECT
Protection as a fundamental instinct—from a mother's embrace to adult self-preservation. The object visually evoked a defensive shield.

FEAR
Tension and disruption of the comfort zone. The installation used a web-like structure as a metaphor for both vulnerability and resilience.

CONTROL
The theme of physical, psychological, and social control. This object contrasted natural form with the concept of manipulation.

DEVOTION
Inspired by loyalty and following—a relationship of trust that shapes connections between individuals and groups.

Fiber‑optic Trees, Boutique HOTEL 11 Nitra, Nov 2015

In November 2015, Robert Bartolen designed and installed a striking fiber‑optic tree installation in the lobby bar of Boutique HOTEL 11 in Nitra, Slovakia. This immersive lighting design transformed the bar's atmosphere, creating a dynamic focal point that captured guests' attention through both visual elegance and sensory experience.

As part of an experiential bar concept, Bartolen created a sculptural tree at the centre of the seating area, accompanied by an overhead canopy of floral-inspired light forms. Through the interplay of fibre-optic lights and organic shapes, the installation invited guests to gather beneath its luminous branches—blending nature, technology, and hospitality into a unified environment.

The project elevated HOTEL 11's lobby into a destination, reinforcing the venue's identity as a place of dreams and artistic encounter. The installation harmoniously integrates with the bar's ambience, enhancing the guest experience through subtle illumination and sculptural presence.
