CYCLE OF LIFE – meadow floristry / sustainability

The workshop in Rybník was a two-day professional programme focused on meadow floristry, vegetative style and sustainable floral principles. The central theme was the cycle of life — from the beginning, growth and celebration to maturity, memory and the final farewell.

The programme took place at FRTUS Winery, where floral creation naturally connected with the landscape, the atmosphere of the winery and authentic natural materials. The focus was on the natural movement of plants, composition, stability, space and the emotion that floral work can carry.

Process and outcomes

The first day was dedicated to the beginning of the life cycle: birth, growth, youth and celebration. Participants worked with delicate meadow materials, vegetative style and compositions inspired by new life, motherhood, celebration and wedding floristry.

The second day focused on maturity, larger floral constructions, spatial composition and a sensitive interpretation of memory and farewell.

The result was a series of floral works that were not only decorative, but carried a story, emotion and a direct connection to the place. The experience also included the hospitality of FRTUS Winery — catering, an evening with a sommelier, premium wine, merch and a certificate of participation.

However, there is one review we must feature on our main page: a review from a participant who has already attended her seventh workshop with us.

I went to my first workshop feeling shy, not knowing what to expect. Me, from a small town in eastern Slovakia. That was 6 years ago. And I can tell you this – it was love at first sight. Robo's work fascinated me from the very beginning. His perception of floristry and nature, his imagination, and his eye for detail still stir emotions in me to this day. I run a small flower shop in Michalovce, and my work has evolved largely thanks to him. I have already completed 7 workshops and I will continue learning, because it means a great deal to me and keeps moving me forward. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn from you. You are an excellent teacher and, above all, a person with your heart in the right place.
