BODA MEDITERRANEA – Mediterranean experiential wedding workshop

This edition in Mallorca was an intensive two-day professional wedding workshop focused on comprehensive floral design in a Mediterranean style. The program took place in a privately rented house with a pool in the Cala d'Or area and was led with a strong emphasis on working with natural Mediterranean materials, constructions for both exterior and interior settings, and current trends in wedding floristry.
Process and outcomes
The workshop was intended for professional florists and floral designers who want to expand their offer with premium wedding products for southern destinations. The program combined morning theory with intensive afternoon practice. The first day was dedicated to the wedding style Fruits Design – the sculptural and design use of fruit, including the creation of a candy bar and a wedding table. The second day followed the concept of Herbal Wedding – working with aromatic herbs, succulents, and Mediterranean materials, resulting in a bridal bouquet, a herbal wedding table, and a floral ceremony arch. The workshop also included working with ceramics from the Mallorcan family brand Ca Na Mel. Participants left with professional photographs of their work for marketing use, new working methods, and a certificate of completion.

The workshop exceeded my expectations. I knew it would be at a high professional and teaching level, but what was also very pleasant and motivating was the atmosphere in the background. Authentic thanks to the environment (outdoor setting, food, local materials), relaxed thanks to the open approach (the possibility to ask questions and discuss them directly during the creative process), and friendly without competitiveness or comparison. Networking during the shared dinner was a very pleasant bonus.
The whole workshop was organized in an absolutely professional way and at the same time was very inspiring. The atmosphere throughout the entire programme was friendly, relaxed, and at the same time motivating for personal creativity and experimentation. :)) I was especially impressed by the "mikado" technique, which we were able to learn in detail and try out in practice. Robert explained it step by step, including the principles of construction, stability, and aesthetic balance. I appreciate that he placed emphasis not only on the technique itself, but also on a sense of composition, working with line, space, and the dynamics of the arrangement. Thanks to his guidance, I not only understood this technique, but above all truly mastered it, and I see great potential in it for my future work. Once again, thank you very much for such a wonderful experience! 🫶🏼

I went to my first workshop feeling shy, not knowing what to expect. Me, from a small town in eastern Slovakia. That was 6 years ago. And I can tell you this – it was love at first sight. Robo's work fascinated me from the very beginning. His perception of floristry and nature, his imagination, and his eye for detail still stir emotions in me to this day. I run a small flower shop in Michalovce, and my work has evolved largely thanks to him. I have already completed 7 workshops and I will continue learning, because it means a great deal to me and keeps moving me forward. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn from you. You are an excellent teacher and, above all, a person with your heart in the right place.
