"From the First Bouquet to Business" was an intensive one-day workshop designed exclusively for complete beginners entering the world of floristry from the absolute foundations. Participants worked with bouquet-binding techniques for the first time, learned how to hold and position stems correctly, and gradually discovered floristry as a craft, a possible future profession, and the foundation of a small independent business.

The workshop took place at a calm and accessible pace, supported by clear professional guidance. From the first moment of holding a stem, participants were led towards understanding what lies behind a technically correct, stable, and visually balanced bouquet.

WHO THE WORKSHOP WAS FOR

The workshop was intended for people with no previous floristry experience, those considering a career change, and anyone wanting to understand the basic construction of a bouquet. It was also suitable for future florists who needed a strong technical foundation before continuing with further professional education.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS LEARNED

Throughout the day, participants worked with the fundamental technical principles of bouquet binding, correct bouquet handling, and stem direction. They learned how to layer materials and work with texture, volume, proportion, and compositional rhythm.

The programme also included flower conditioning and preparation, simple wrapping techniques, and the presentation of finished work. These are the essential foundations required by anyone wishing to continue with floristry as a hobby, through further education, or in professional practice.

TWO FUNDAMENTAL BOUQUETS

During the workshop, participants created two core bouquet formats.

The small bouquet for a mother introduced correct bouquet handling, stem direction, initial layering, working with texture, and the basic preparation of flowers.

The congratulatory bouquet for a milestone celebration introduced the first more professional format. Participants worked with greater volume, stable layering, proportion, material rhythm, and simple wrapping.

Together, these two pieces formed the technical and aesthetic foundation from which further floristry education, professional creative work, or a small independent business can gradually develop.

WHAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE WORKSHOP

The programme included all floral materials, working tools and equipment, professional guidance from Róbert Bartolen, educational materials, a coffee break, lunch, and a certificate of completion.

Participants also received practical working equipment and workshop merchandise, which they used during the training and took home afterwards.

The workshop was limited to a maximum of 20 participants to preserve the space required for intensive training, individual corrections, and professional support.
