Mediterranean Wedding Workshop
March 10–11, 2026
Language: SK, ES

The workshop will take place in a privately rented house with a pool. The address will be provided after registration.

Where it all took place

The workshop took place in a privately rented house with a swimming pool directly in the Cala d'Or area, one of the most beautiful parts of Mallorca. Not in a hotel, not in a conference hall. In a real house with views, a garden, and an atmosphere that set the tone for the entire stay from the very first minute. This environment – Mediterranean architecture, local plants, and the light of southern Spain in March – became a direct source of inspiration for the creative work.

What we learned and created

Each day's program began with a shared theoretical session. We focused on the aesthetics and color palette of a Mediterranean wedding, the principles of selecting materials and structures for outdoor spaces, the logistics and stability of decorations in conditions of heat and wind, as well as practical planning, budgeting, and production management of wedding floral decoration. The theory was not abstract – it was directly connected to what we implemented in practice during the afternoon.

Day 1 – Fruits Design
The first day was dedicated to a wedding style in which fruit stops being just a decorative element and becomes a full-fledged floral design component. We worked with its shape, color, texture, and symbolism. The result was three complete creations: the design and floral concept of a candy bar, a large wedding table in the Fruits Design style, and a central arrangement for the reception. Each piece was conceptually cohesive and prepared for real event use.

Day 2 – Herbal Wedding
On the second day we worked with aromatic herbs, succulents, and Mediterranean natural materials. We brought principles of aromatherapy into wedding floristry – scent, texture, and sensory experience. We created a bridal bouquet, a herbal version of a large wedding table, and a floral ceremony arch. Working with the arch demonstrated how floral architecture can become the central element of the entire wedding space.

Ca Na Mel – a family-run Mallorcan pottery tradition in our workshop

During the workshop we worked with ceramics from Ca Na Mel, a Mallorcan family brand with a history dating back to the 1940s. This is not ordinary decorative tableware. The collections Verde Mar, Limones, and Aires de Mar have a clear visual identity and respond directly to the Mediterranean environment. The ceramics were not only a base for the arrangements – they became part of the composition, its colors, and the overall impression. The resulting works therefore functioned as complete stylized compositions, not just isolated floral objects.

Catering as part of the experience

The catering at this workshop was not just logistics. It was part of the overall concept.

Lunches were prepared directly at the venue using fresh local Mallorcan ingredients, taking into account the dietary preferences of each participant. Throughout the day fruit, vegetables, and herbs were always within reach – the same ones we worked with. Including freshly picked oranges from the garden.

Evenings were spent together at the Porto Cari restaurant directly in the Cala d'Or marina. A terrace by the water, views of the yachts, Mediterranean cuisine, and a subtle fine dining atmosphere made these dinners a natural continuation of the day – a space for sharing, reflection, and inspiration.

What participants took away

Each participant left with concrete outcomes: professional training and individual mentoring during the creative process, practical experience working with Mediterranean natural materials, professional photographs of their own work for use on websites, social media, and portfolios, new construction and composition techniques applicable to real projects, and a certificate of completion for the BODA MEDITERRANEA workshop.
