WHAT TO EXPECT

The second stage of the year-long Master Class MIKADO program focuses on funeral, autumn, Advent, and Christmas floristry. The key to the entire workshop is the connection of the MIKADO construction technique with the contemporary direction of Sticky Floristry.

This two-day intensive course is intended for professional florists who want to refine their technical knowledge, understand next-generation ecological methods, and expand their portfolio with highly crafted autumn and winter products. The workshop is not intended for beginners.

WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR

The workshop is intended for:

– professional florists
– flower shop owners
– studios
– creators looking for new professional tools
– florists interested in foam-free ecological solutions
– those who want to develop construction techniques and a seasonal portfolio

MAIN BENEFITS

The workshop develops:

– modern ecological methods without floral foam

– construction skills for wreaths, decorations, and winter products
– economic thinking when working with autumn and winter materials

Participants will learn to work with:

– commercial seasonal products
– funeral compositions
– Advent and Christmas arrangements

CORE PROGRAM

DAY 1 – THEORY & WORKING WITH NATURAL MATERIALS

MIKADO Technique + Sticky Floristry + autumn botanical material

The tutor will demonstrate:

– casket decoration
– funeral wreath
– funeral bouquet
– autumn table decoration
– autumn door wreath

During the demonstrations, participants will become familiar with combined MIKADO methods and the micro-mechanics of Sticky Floristry – using natural tension, supports, fibrous surfaces, and self-supporting botanical joints.

Students will create:

– funeral wreath
– All Souls' Day arrangement

All design work is done with sustainably sourced materials: fresh, dried, and preserved, with a focus on working without synthetic foams and plastic elements.

DAY 2 – LARGE CONSTRUCTIONS & SPATIAL FLORISTRY

Winter creations – architecture from natural supports – foam-free

The tutor will demonstrate:

– Advent wreath
– Advent candle centerpiece
– Christmas window tree
– Christmas door wreath

Emphasis is placed on ecological, strong, and reusable construction systems. The MIKADO technique creates the structural lines, while Sticky Floristry provides detailed stabilization through micro-supports.

Students will create:

– Advent wreath
– Christmas window tree

Each arrangement is based on the theme of sustainability:

– working with recycled natural materials
– transforming dried leftovers into full-value decoration
– using preserved structures
– creating without plastics and chemical fixing materials

PURPOSE AND GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP

The goal of this stage is to teach florists how to work professionally with autumn and winter materials so that the designs are ecological, technically solid, aesthetically clean, and economically efficient. Participants will learn stable constructions, seasonal adaptation of materials, and systems that can be adjusted, replenished, and put back into circulation with minimal cost.

CAPACITY

Workshop for a maximum of 22 participants – intensive professional training.
