WHAT TO EXPECT
"From the First Bouquet to Business" is a one-day intensive workshop designed exclusively for complete beginners who wish to enter the world of floristry, change the direction of their life, and learn the craft from the absolute basics. The format was created in response to those who have never tied a bouquet before, are holding flowers for the first time, feel intimidated by technique, and need clear guidance, a calm pace, and professional support.
The workshop is structured to gently yet precisely open the door into floristry – from holding the very first stem to understanding what it truly takes for someone to one day become a florist. During this one day, participants will create two fundamental bouquet types that form the technical and aesthetic foundation of the floristry craft.
These two bouquets are also the key to understanding how floristry works, what its principles are, its rhythm, compositional rules, and how all of this can gradually grow into professional work or even a small business of one's own.

CORE PROGRAM
During this one-day workshop, participants will create two fundamental bouquet types:During the workshop, participants will immerse themselves in the vegetative style and the cycle of life from birth to the final stage. All work will be created in harmony with nature, without foam or synthetics, with an emphasis on local resources and natural constructions. The designs will reflect the fragility of the beginning of life, the celebration of maturity, and the quiet symbolism of the end – each one mirroring what nature itself offers.

Small Bouquet for a Mother
A gentle composition that teaches the basics: how to hold the bouquet, how to direct the stems, first layering of materials, working with texture, and conditioning the flowers. -
Celebration Bouquet for a Milestone Anniversary
The first "more professional" form, where volume is created along with stable layering, proportions, material rhythm, and simple wrapping.
These two bouquets represent a basic foundational format that opens the path to understanding the logic of floristry and further professional growth.

ABOUT THE TUTOR – RÓBERT BARTOLEN
Róbert Bartolen is a Slovak florist who has been working professionally for more than 21 years.
He is originally from Slovakia, but he teaches and creates all around the world.
He has worked as a tutor and creator in:
– Chile
– Costa Rica
– Guatemala
– El Salvador
– Spain
– and many other countries
He is currently shaping a new stage of global floristry – Sticky Floristry, which connects modern technologies, sustainability, and a futuristic visual language.
He focuses on using local natural resources and linking them with new technologies, technical constructions, and experimental creation.
Among his recent major projects are:

– The art-floristry project VYRAJA (2024)
Róbert leads professional courses, exhibitions, workshops, and projects on a world-class level and actively helps florists grow and connect aesthetics with sustainability.

Payment Options
The workshop price is €570 excluding VAT. Participants can choose one of the following payment options:
They can pay the full amount in a single payment after their registration is confirmed, or they can use the pre-registration option with a non-refundable registration fee of €150, with the remaining balance due no later than one month before the start of the workshop. A third option is to split the payment into the registration fee and two subsequent installments, which must all be fully paid no later than one month before the workshop; for this option, an additional handling fee of €30 is added to the workshop price to cover transaction taxes and administrative processing of payments.
During pre-registration, the participant fills out a form, provides their details, and chooses a payment option. Based on the submitted form, we will then send all further information, including payment instructions and due dates, by email.
